table23 News
table23’s last Wednesday show was a night to remember. Filled to the max with audience members we know and love, the theatre was buzzing with happy energy. Graham hosted the night and table23 members Russ and Jonathan came back to join Jen, Brad and Jeff to perform the final show. Peter Abando played on his keyboard and Conor Chambers lit the stage and added sound effects to scenes.
We played crowd favourite games: Sounds Like a Song, Change, Accent Rollercoaster, Doo Run Run, and Song Narration to name a few. For the show’s second half, we performed one of our unique long-form styles that Jonathan named “Bridges”. A mix of scenes, moments and songs inspired from each other, the long form set ended with a half fictional story about how table23 came to be - all completely unplanned and improvised.
Of course, we ended with our most famous game: Gibberish Murder. None of us got the the endowments right, and it was hilarious.
Everyone in the theatre that night could feel that they were all around something special. It was an hour and forty five minute moment that we will all remember for the rest of our lives.
table23 could not have done this without the support of our fans. So to you all we owe the hugest, largest thanks. THANKS! Thanks for making our Wednesday show truly great.
